Organic Gluten Free Enchilada Sauce

In order to heal and still be able to eat good tasting, nutritious food you’ll want to eliminate as many chemicals in your food as possible. This is why you’ll always see my recipes call for organic ingredients because if you’re not trying to eliminate as many chemicals as you can from your eating lifestyle then you will continue to poison your body and the earth we live on. My hope through this blog is that I can help educate and bring awareness to you so that we may all learn better to do better, for ourselves and future generations.

This enchilada sauce takes minutes to throw together and can simmer as you cook your meat or get ready what ever it is you plan on serving with this better than restaurant enchilada sauce.

Feel free to reduce the recipe in half. I always make a lot so I have leftovers for nachos, quesadillas, taco salads or whatever your little heart desires. If you make this please let me know your thoughts.

Organic Gluten Free Enchilada Sauce

Better than restaurant enchilada sauce!

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp refined organic coconut oil

  • 4 Tbsp organic arrowroot flour

  • 1/2 Cup organic chili powder

  • 2 Tbsp organic cumin

  • 2 tsp organic garlic powder

  • 24oz Organic Grass-Fed Bone Broth (or 32oz if making your own bone broth)

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 2 15oz cans organic low sodium tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp organic dried oregano

  • 5 tsp Celtic sea salt

Directions

  • In sauce pan combine coconut oil, arrowroot flour, chili powder, cumin and garlic powder and stir together
  • Place sauce pan on the stove over medium/high heat and continuously stir until mixture begins to bubble.
  • Pour in tomato sauce and stir until seasoning is combined with sauce
  • Next pour in the bone broth and water and stir until incorporated with the tomato sauce
  • Add oregano and salt and stir into sauce
  • Turn heat up to high, stirring occasionally until sauce comes to a boil
  • Reduce heat to simmer and simmer sauce for 15 minutes
  • Sauce is now done, enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to reduce the recipe in half if you’re not needing a large batch or wanting leftovers.
